Bobby Charles Reed

Bobby Reed,75, of Odessa, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022, in Odessa, TX.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM, Friday, October 7, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Byron McWilliams of First Baptist Church Odessa, officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.

Bobby Reed was born in Brownwood, TX, to Oda and Eda Reed on February 15, 1947. He graduated from Odessa High School in 1965. He married Vicki Reed on June 26, 1971, in Odessa, TX. He worked as a Pumper for Amoco/Alturas/Oxy for over 40 years. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the Army serving with the 4th Division and was awarded the Bronze Star, Army Commendation Medal, Expert Marksman, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was a lifetime member of the VFW.

Bobby Reed is preceded in death by parents, Oda and Eda Reed; sister, Nelda Montya and her husband Claude; and nephew, Larry Montya.

Bobby Reed is survived by his wife of 51 years, Vicki Reed; son, Bryan Reed and wife Erika Reed; son, Casey Reed and wife Tiffany Reed; brother, Sherman Reed; grandchildren, Brady Reed, Ava Reed, Charlie Reed, Courtnie Howell and husband Kody, Breanna Boguszewicz and husband Kadin, Alexandria Beard, and Mackenzie Beard; great-grandchildren, Leonidas Howell and Drew Boguszewicz.

Pallbearers will be Steven Reed, Jeffery Reed, Kevin Reed, Levi Reed, Brady Reed, and Charlie Reed.

Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church Odessa or Texas Oncology. The family of Bobby Reed wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses at Medical Center Hospital, staff at Texas Oncology, and the nurses and staff at Heart-to-Heart Hospice.
