I've lived in the finest houses but I've also lived in the slums.
I've talked to the richest people but also talked to the bums.
I've driven the newest automobiles but driven some old ones, too.
I've been the happiest person but once in a while I'm blue.
I've eaten the finest foods around but I've been a hungry man.
I've eaten in some high class restaurants but also from a garbage can.
I flew on a jet to LA but I've walked a hundred miles.
I've cried as least a million tears but I've had a thousand smiles.
I've been with a lot of different girls but I've been alone a lot.
I know I don't have anything but there's nothing I haven't got.
I hope you understand the kind of life that I lead.
Although I've been through a lot of hell. I'm really glad I'm me.
