Passed away in Stamford, Texas on January 7, 1980 from Breast Cancer at age 32. She was married to Gerald Locke and is buried in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Odessa.
Sandra Lyn Stewart Locke passed away in the year 1980. We were good friends after we went to High School together. Our husbands were stationed in Germany at the same time during 1967 and 1968. She and her husband Gerald were stationed in Munich, Germany, and Gary and I were stationed at Dachau, Germany. We lived about 15 miles from each other. The four of us became good friends and did some travelling together. She began to get sick when we lived in Germany.
After living in Germany, we were able to visit with them when the four of us moved back to Texas. They had a son named Kurt Lyn Locke. After Sandy passed away, Gerald remarried. We had a lot of fun with Sandy and Gerald.
We're thankful that we were able to be friends with them.
