Herbie as we knew him attended Bowie Junior High and Odessa High School.  He was born in Odessa and after high school, he attended the University of Houston where he obtained his Pharmacy Degree and he functioned in various levels as a pharmacist, manager and consultant in Odessa, the Houston-Gulf Coast Area.  He lived in the Middle East where he worked for American Hospitals.  He lived in Lubbock and was the Pharmacy Department Head at Convenant Hospitals.  He then moved back to Odessa where he began his retirement.  

He was the father to two sons, Herbert Jr. and his family of Bandera, Texas and his son Robert of Houston.  He passed away December 5, 2023 in Odessa from Prostate Cancer. He was survived his sons and his wife Claudette.  There was no funeral and his cremains will be scattered around Ruidosa, New Mexico at a later date.
