Phyllis Ruth Howard

Phyllis R. Howard, age 69 of Marble Falls passed away at her home Sunday, May 8, 2016. She was born March 26, 1947, in Odessa to Ganoe Howard and Jean Boyd Howard.

Phyllis was born and raised in Odessa where she graduated Odessa High School. She earned her degree in Nursing from TCU and spent over 50 years in the nursing profession. Phyllis started at the bottom and eventually spent time as a Nursing Professor at Odessa College.

In 1996 Phyllis moved to Buchanan Dam near Burnet and for recent years was a resident of Marble Falls. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Burnet. Phyllis enjoyed her friends and most especially her little dog Honey.

Phyllis is survived by her sister Lois Wood of Atlanta, Georgia and her brother Carrol Howard of Itasca. She is also survived by nieces Tawn Gray and Lesi Horton and nephews Tracy Wood and Doyle Howard. She will also be remembered by other relatives and many friends.

At her request, a graveside service and burial will be held at Parks Cemetery near Duncan, Oklahoma near other ancestors. A Memorial Service for friends and family will be held Thursday morning May 19 at 10 at the First Baptist Church in Burnet.
