Jerry had been attending A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) school in Spring, Texas. He returned home and moved to Eden at the time of his death. Jerry was one of the best male swimmers Ogden High had ever seen. His fly and backstroke had records and he lettered numerous times in swimming. His parents now reside in St. George, Utah.
