I will always remember the fun times that we spent at Kristies house and the warm hospitality that her parents always showed to us!! Especially when we all got frost bite for I am sure doing something totally stupid and the kind and patient way that he treated and fixed us all! I will always treasure my fond memories of her. You are missed Kristie. Holly Thomson Smith
One of the kindest, most loyal people I have ever met. Beautiful on the outside and full of beauty and spunk on the inside. A true friend. Miss you much.
When I came to Bonneville Kristie and I were told that we would be mortal enemies. It only took meeting her for the first time to realize that we would be best friends! She was the kindest person I had ever met. We quickly developed a friendship that endured over many years and great distances. I missed her dearly when I left to serve a mission in Uruguay. I missed her dearly when she married the love of her life and moved to Kansas. Today, I still miss her dearly.
No matter what Kristie was cruising at Bonneville (the Pinto, Ken's brown beast or the convertible Pontiac Sunbird) she was the cutest! A beautiful smile and a zest for life made her so much fun to be around. She was always pulling pranks at my expense and I soon learned to get even! I miss her sense of humor and hearing her laugh.
Many people may not know what a scholar Kristie turned out to be. She had an incomparable love for reading. In addition to being exceptionally literate and articulate, Kristie was close to receiving her Doctorate degree in Audiology. Kristie loved helping others and even worked at Mercy Children's Hospital in Kansas. She was a loving friend and a great mother to her two beautiful children. May she rest in peace until we meet again.
