Elisabeth Barton, 31, died Saturday, December 22, 1990 at McKay Dee Hospital. She was born November 1, 1959 in Seattle, Washington, a daughter of Gilbert Calder and Ada Joy Cannon Barton. She had lived in Seattle, Washington; Providence, Rhode Island and China Lake, California, moving to the Ogden Area in 1963. She graduated from Ogden High School in 1977. She had received honors in languages, speech, writing, and drama. She was extremely creative musically and received accolades from her teachers. She was a member of the Ogden 55th LDS Ward. She was very active and studied the scriptures diligently. She was a supreme naturalist and enjoyed the outdoors and was intensively interested in and loved and cared for all living things. She especially loved the ocean, traveling and fishing. She was accomplished in drama, literature, writing, history, music, poetry, art, song writing, science and math. She loved flowers, plants, and pets. Maybe she'll meet her favorite pet, Old Bo who went before she did. She always tried to help everyone and was so kind and loving. Surviving are her mother of Ogden; one brother and one sister. Matthew Cannon Barton of Clearfield; Ada Marie Barton of Ogden; her grandmother, Mrs. Edith Christensen Cannon of Ogden.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 12:00 noon at the Ogden 55th Ward Chapel, 1401 Country Hills Drive, with Bishp Fred Ulrich officiating. Friends may call at the Ward Chapel Wednesday from 10:30 ro 11:30 a.m. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery. Funeral directers, Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary. She endured so much in her young life.
