December 29, 1958 - November 21, 2021
Ogden – Our beloved Jeffrey (Jeff) Richard Williams passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with MSA (Multiple System Atrophy). He was born December 29, 1958 and was the fourth child of Richard G. Williams and Joyce B. Williams Isaacson. He was raised and educated in Ogden, Utah. He graduated from Ogden High School in 1977 where he received the Ogden Standard Examiner Gold Watch for “Outstanding All-Around Athlete.” Jeff was always one to do his best, and he excelled in the sports he loved playing — football, baseball and basketball.
Jeff was an extremely hard worker and worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for a few years. In the early 1980’s, he began his career at Rocky Mountain Power and worked full-time for 30 dedicated years. Jeff became disabled with his illness and continued to be an inactive employee at Rocky Mountain Power until the time of his death. The family is extremely grateful to Rocky Mountain Power for the continued support, care and concern they gave to Jeff up until his death.
Jeff had many loves in his life, but his greatest love was his wife and soulmate, Kaylene, whom he married on October 3, 1980. Jeff met Kaylene in 8th grade and together they shared 48 wonderful years living and loving life to the fullest. Jeff was a family man and the proud parent of two beautiful children, Joshua and Brooke. He loved them so and was always a major part of their lives coaching, practicing, advising or encouraging them in whatever endeavors they were pursuing. He was also blessed with seven delightful grandchildren. We can’t forget Jeff’s other true loves–his dogs: Jersey, Boston, Harley and Milo. He found great joy and comfort in all of them.
Jeff was a great lover of life. He worked hard, and he played hard. Jeff was the life of the party, and he had a great sense of humor. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and traveling with his family, especially to San Diego and the Jackson Hole-Yellowstone area. He also loved his cabin in South Fork Canyon. We’ll always picture our beautiful Jeff fishing in the South Fork River with his vest and boots on, casting his fly rod in the early morning or at sunset. He passed on his love for the outdoors and fishing to his son and many others whose lives Jeff touched.
Jeff or “Big Willie” as he was often called was blessed with many friends, and they were all an important part of his life. He had many fun and special memories of them. The family is grateful to all of them for their love and support throughout the years.
Jeff believed one of his greatest accomplishments in life was his growth in spirituality and love for his Saviour, Jesus Christ. He lived a good life and found great strength and comfort in knowing he would one day return home to his Saviour. We are grateful Jeff is now free from all suffering and disease and is once again in the loving arms of Jesus.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Kaylene, his children, Joshua Jeffrey (BreAnn) Williams and Brooke Karlee (Colby) Moore, and seven grandchildren: Bronson, Oaklee, Lincoln, Everly, Millie, Krue
and Braxton (Little Willie). He is also survived by his three sisters, Debra (Jeff) Wangsgard, Toni (Scott) Lamph and Shelley Williams as well as many nieces and nephews who all adored their Uncle Jeff. Jeff is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Kaylene for taking such superior care of Jeff throughout his struggle with MSA. Kaylene is our “Angel on Earth,” and he had a wonderful life right up to the end because of her. We will be forever grateful to Kaylene and his children for all of their loving care, support and endless love for Jeff.
