
On July 27 2016, Evan Michael Peters quietly left this world and joined his Father in Heaven. Evan was born September 26, 1958 to Wilfred and Janet Peters in Ogden, UT. He graduated from Ogden High and served a LDS mission in Switzerland. He received a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Weber State University. Evan married his eternal companion and the love of his life, Karen, on August 8, 1987. He dedicated his life to his family, enjoying countless grand adventures. Evan was able to impact the lives of many people. He was an active member of the LDS faith where he served in many different positions. He had a strong testimony and always shared his love of Jesus Christ with all whom he came in contact. Evan spent 27 years working for the DOD. He had the opportunity to work alongside our brave service men and women in Kuwait and Afghanistan for 3 years. Evan is survived by his wife Karen Peters, his 6 children StaciAnn (Daniel) Duitsman, Jeff (Joanel) Whinham, James (Kadee) Whinham, Tilbilyn (James) Froehlich, Evan Samuel (Julie) Peters, Ben Peters; ten grandchildren, and one great grandchild. He is also survived by his parents, brother Martin (Kelly) Peters, in-laws Keith (Lucille) Bowers. Evan was preceded in death by his brother John and daughter-in-law April. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Roy 18th Ward Chapel. 5725 South 3750 West, Roy, Utah. A viewing will be held at Meyers and Sons Roy Mortuary 5865 South 1900 West Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 6 – 8 p.m. and Thursday at the church prior to the funeral from 10 – 10:30 a.m. Interment in the Aultorest Memorial Park in Ogden.
