Kathryn (Huffaker) Boseman passed away unexpectedly on January 29, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and aunt was born May 9, 1959 in Ogden, UT to David Elwood Huffaker and Edna (Moulton) Huffaker, the youngest of three children.
Kate attended Wasatch High in Heber, UT and Ogden High. She married Jody Dafton Boseman October 8, 1977 and they had 5 children producing 5 grandchildren.
She considered her greatest accomplishments to be her children. She proudly attended little league baseball games, dance recitals and school programs for many years. She instilled her generosity, compassion and bottomless heart in her children and inspired everyone who met her with her captivating smile and contagious laughter. She was also a devoted grandmother and spent every moment possible with her grandchildren - as they filled her with joy.
Katie spent several years in the Utah Jazz Booster Club where she used her artistic ability to design banners, t-shirts, temporary tattoos and other items for Jazz games and events. She and Jody forged long-lasting friendships during these years. She enjoyed attending University of Utah football games and tailgating as well as drawing, painting and doing craft projects with her daughters. She enjoyed traveling, as long as it was somewhere warm! Her favorite vacation spot was Lake Powell where she would enjoy tanning on the boat, watching her children water ski or tube and engage in water gun wars. She enjoyed going to Hawaii and California as well and had hoped to take a Caribbean cruise one day.
She is survived by her husband Jody, their children, Ryan of Waddell, AZ, Travis (Jenny) of Sacramento, CA, Rachel (Kirk Brinkerhoff) of Clinton, UT, Tara (Larry Hagen) and Raynie both of Riverton, UT. She leaves 5 grandchildren, Kannon and Karter (Ryan), Lincoln and Jackson (Tara) and Hailee Mae (Rachel) and is also survived by her brothers Edmond Huffaker and Paul Huffaker both of Ogden, UT. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Edna Huffaker.
