Comments about life and living
After graduating from Okemos in 1962, I went to the University of Michigan. After earning a B.A. in Political Science ( 1966) and an M.A. in Education ( 1967), I taught Social Studies and was an assistant coach in basketball and track at Mackenzie High School in Detroit. In 1972 I went to Monroe (MI) High School as an assistant principal and was an administrator for the Monroe Public Schools until I retired in 1991. After my retirement I worked part time and on a contract basis for the Michigan Educational Association as a union negotiator and also mentored new teachers for the Monroe Public Schools.
I still live in Monroe. My three children live in Illinois, and I have two grandchildren.
