OKLAHOMA CITY
Jim passed away on Feb. 4, 2019, after a long battle with COPD. He was born in Arkansas on March 18, 1941, to Robert John and Helen Shirley Crow McCauley. When he was a young child, Jim's dad died in World War II. Soon after, he moved to Oklahoma City with his mother, sister, and aunt, Roberta Crow. He graduated from Harding High School in 1959 and Central State College in 1968 with a degree in accounting. Jim was married in 1972 to Betty Kay Rodgers. Jim worked at First National Bank in Oklahoma City. He also worked as the operations manager for Stifel Nicolaus. He worked various carpentry jobs. For the last 25 years, Jim was the owner-operator of McCauley Greenhouse in Oklahoma City. He worked with his son and daughter to develop the company. In recent years, Jim spent more time with his grandchildren and passed the management of the company to his daughter, Kelly. Jim is survived by his wife, Betty; son, Shaun & wife Savannah, grandchildren, River Smith and Kai McCauley; daughter, Kelly & husband Todd Fields and grandchildren, Caden and Morgan Fields. He is also survived by a sister, Linda Samara; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the "Make-A-Wish" Foundation. A Memorial Service will be held at Reflection Pointe Gardens on Feb. 15 at 2 p.m.
