A Christmas Party would be great - my house isn't huge, but we could try to do it here. Or if there will be a lot of people and no one has a problem with it, I might be able to obtain use of the Youth Center at our church.

If we do it at our church, I think the church has a Santa suit we could use so the kids (young and old alike)could tell Santa what they want for Christmas. We could even take pictures so those of us with small children would not have to go to the mall and fight the crowds just to see Santa.

We would need to decide if it were to be just adult or if we wanted to include children. I wouldn't mind one of each, do the adult at someones house and do the one with children somewhere bigger.

Tammy, I know what Dirty Santa is, but what is White Elephant?

white elephant is just bringing something from home that you dont want anymore. Dont go out and buy anything.

I know I am late but YES THE BC CLARK SONG!!!!! I sing that every year here. And of course they know nothing about what I am singin about. My children & I harmonize to it. They do not know it real good because we have been here for 12 years but I taught it to them. WONDERFUL TRADITION!!! Thanks Cliff...

Yes I do want to come to a Christmas party... Just let me know where and I am there. I love the holidays. Even with the stress. And Tammy, my family plays White Elephant every year for New Years. That is a tradition of ours on New Years Day. We do it then because we can get rid of some of those flaky Chirstmas gifts :)... Usually from some of the people that bought them. HAHAHAHAHAHA

But seriously, let me know. My children are not little anymore so the Santa thing does not go over well but they can help with the smaller children.

Ray, I really missed you at the reunion..I hope you are alright, I heard you were on your way, but you never made it. Anyway, it looks like some of us really enjoyed our time together and would like to get together again real soon, maybe you could make it for that.

about your daughter, that is impressive, and I know you are sooooo proud. If I may, I would like to have a mommy moment too............

.....today my son started his first real job refereeing soccer games u7 girls. they were so cute. I had to listen to a few parents spout off at the mouth at my son for some of his calls, but I kept my composure. And then his coach for the team he plays on wants to start putting him in as a captain for his leadership abilities. You know I was lovin to hear that. It feels good to hear good things about your kids.

Not done yet.......:) Since our first book signing is next weekend at Borders, my daughter's literacy coach at school is having her read her book over the televised announcements on Monday and have a possible interview. People are asking for her autograph already. She is only 11, and I think she is loving it alot!

I'm hoping one day you'll see her on Oprah!

Okay since I shared all that, please anyone, give us a mommy or daddy bragging moment ..:)

For anyone who went to Chris' on Saturday night, I posted a few pictures that I took on the Shutterfly site. It was great to see you all and I had such a great time! It is cool to see how everyone is turning out and scary to see how many boys in our class LEAGALLY possess firearms and know how to use them. Here is the Shutterfly link:

The password is Knights (and is case sensitive).

Thanks to everyone, especially Tammy, Joey and Laura for such an awesome night. Chris, thanks for hosting Saturday night and Bobby thanks for the use of the club. I had way more fun than I ever expected I would. Everybody was so much fun to catch up with. Now I get to hit my husband's 20 year reunion in Dallas next month. He had a good group of friends that I know pretty well, but I'm sure there's no way his reunion will be nearly as fun as ours was! Unless there's an open bar.

Just wanted to share that we sold 33 books in 3 hours at the book signing this weekend. The local news showed up and did an interview also. Yeah!! This is really exciting for us.

If you know of anyone, especially children, who are dealing with death or has gone through it, you should really read Holly's book. We will hopefully get the opportunity to partner with the Susan B. Komen foundation this year.

You know, God truly has mysterious ways. Today was my birthday, and here we are in the nicest bookstore in the area selling a book written in honor of my mother, by my daughter. I feel like a little kid inside. What a gift from the Lord:)

Happy Belated Birthday Tammy!!! October is a wonderful month to be born. And I have to admit that October babies are beautiful people and a lot of fun too...I guess you can tell by now, I am an October baby too. Even the weather is better in October. :)

Tammy, God has truly given you 2 wonderfully blessed children. You are doing some good things with them. Just keep pushing them toward their destiny and the rewards come from your investments. Invest much...

thank you Lesley and Dawn. Half of us were a little under the weather on my b-day so we rented Ironman the movie and I had a yummy salad from Olive Garden. Just spending time with the kids and watching THEIR favorite movie was a nice birthday:) OH little things......:)

Update: Our Congressman Boozman's office called me and they read the article in the paper about my daughter and the book, and they thought it was very inspirational,so they are sending Holly a letter from the Congressman. Cool, huh. Then today we were invited to a "meet the author, Nicholas Sparks" event this weekend. The guy who wrote the "Notebook" and "Message in a Bottle." Anyway, her school principal invited us. They just happened to have 2 seats left at their table normally $35 a ticket. And they thought it would be neat if Holly could go.

If any of you would like us to come and share our story and song with your church, please let me know. I come to OKC often, or even if you are out of town, we would definitely consider it. Just let me know, I can send a package that way.

Ok so what's happening here are we all running out of steam already? Well I am sure ya'll are just like me and this starts a very busy time of year for you. Headed off to St. Louis for a Marching Band Contest this weekend so somebody else share what ya'll are doing these days.

Marcy, have fun on your trip, Travis and I are leaving very early Thursday morning for Las Vegas. Our flight is leaving at 6:30am - we will be back Sunday evening. We will think of everyone and try to have enough fun for everyone as well - wish us luck, lots of it, and maybe we will win??

Are we still interested in doing a Christmas Party/mini reunion? I can talk to our church to see if we could use the youth center which would hold a lot of people, plus if we include kids, there is plenty of room for them to run and play.

Tammy I am a huge Nicholas Sparks fan.. oh man I have almost read all of his books..just finishing one last night. He is such a great author that I am left emotionally drained after each book and I have to wait at least a week before picking up another. I hope that you go and enjoy.. it would be worth it.
I am so proud of you and your daughter that is so awesome.
