Michael “Mike” Wayne Glass, age 20, died at an area hospital early Saturday, September 18, 1987, after succumbing to a battle with cancer. Mike was born August 18, 1967 in Chickasha and moved to Okmulgee with his family from Oklahoma City in 1972 when he was a second grader. A graduate of Okmulgee High School 1985, he was active in the green country baseball program and junior and senior high school baseball and football and took an active interest in Boy Scout work. He was a member of St, Anthony’s Catholic Church where he served as alter boy and worked with the youth groups. Mike was also honored at Okmulgee’s Benefit Cancer Golf Tournaments and donated much time and energy to the annual St. Jude’s Bike-A-Thon.

Survivors include his parents; Mr. and Mrs. Al Glass of Okmulgee; a sister, Donna Glass, Ponca City.  Pallbearers will be Judge Charles Humphrey, James Lunney, Pete Blanchard, Pat Williams, Mike McGuire and Jerry Biddle.
