Paul was born Oct. 19, 1966, in Oklahoma City, and spent much of his life in Okmulgee. More recently he had lived in the McAlester area. He served three years in the United States Marine Corps in the mid to late 1980's. He worked as a construction worker after his military service. Survivors include three children, Maria Dawn Gomez, Appolonia Rae Gomez and Austin Paul Gomez; one grandson; mother and stepfather, Mary Francis (Kemp) and Wayne Pendergrass, of McAlester; two brothers, Christopher Delano Gomez, of Sand Springs, and Antonio Soliz Gomez, Kansas City, Kan.; nieces and nephews, Christen Denise Gomez, Frances Anita Gomez, Jordan Christopher Gomez and Pete Williams Gomez; four aunts and numerous cousins. Pallbearers will be Jearld Cummins, Donnie Glass, Jimmy Sanderson, David Pendergrass, Dion Glass and Davis Kemp. Military honors will be provided by McAlester Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1098. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester.
