Judy Ann Garretson Brewer Slichenmyer of Olney, IL passed away on April 26, 2026 in Olney.

Judy was born August 28, 1941 in Parkersburg, WV to parents Frederick Earl and Catherine Caroline Fretwell Garrettson. She married Carl Eugene Brewer on October 16, 1960, he preceded in death on February 27, 1992. She then married John Edward Slichenmyer on February 14, 1996, he preceded her in death on August 31, 2017.

Judy worked at GTE, in the billing department. After raising her children, she rejoined the workforce and began working as the head cook at St. Joseph School and then worked at the Richland County Sheriff's office as a cook and then became a dispatcher.

Judy enjoyed reading, bowling, sewing, and talking to anyone that will listen. She was an excellent cook and took pleasure in baking homemade bread and noodles. Judy traveled the world alongside her husband, John. She also loved taking care of her grandchildren.

Judy is survived by her children, Charles (Michelle) Brewer of Calhoun, Christina Jo (Jesse) Henry of Olney, John Robert (Leslie) Brewer of Monroe City, IN, and Russell (Terri) Brewer of Newton; Grandchildren, Roni, Nikki (Aaron), Mitchell, Caleb, Alexandra (Austin), Adam, Carli (Ross), Jacob (Taylor), Keirston (Jake), Sadie, James (Sarah), Logan, Carson, and Jenna; Great Grandchildren, Andrew, Asher, Aubrey, Eli, Bryton, Brianna, Scarlett, Memphis, Adaline, Casey, Clara, Emmalynn, and Thaddeus; Son-in-law, Donnie Steber; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her 2 husbands, mother & father, Mother and Father-in-law Russell & Thelma Brewer, Sister-in-law Nancy Felice Williams, daughter Catherine Steber, sister Rebecca and brother Bo.

Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney has been entrusted with arrangements.

Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home, Olney with a visitation to begin one hour before the services at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery.
