Everette L. Brewer

Everett Leroy Brewer, 89, passed away on February 24th 2025 in Laguna Niguel, California.

Born on April 22, 1935, in Casey, Illinois, Everett grew up in Olney, Illinois. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps alongside his best friend, Bill Hatch. He completed boot camp at Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California, before serving in the Korean War.

Following his military service, Everett pursued a career in education that spanned 3 decades. He began as a teacher and dedicated his life to shaping young minds. His passion for education led him to serve as Vice President of Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, California, where he made a lasting impact on students and colleagues alike.

Everett was a devoted father and grandfather who always prioritized family. He is survived by his children: Susan Brewer, Kristen Brewer, Sara Brewer, and Michael Brewer; his grandchildren: Courtney Klopp, Arabella Brewer, Eirik Brewer, and Anika Brewer; and his great-grandson, Kai Perreira.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Phyllis Brewer, and his son, John Brewer.

Those who knew Everett remember him as a kind and loving man, always willing to help family and friends. His generosity and warmth left an indelible mark on those around him.

Everett’s legacy of kindness and dedication will live on through the many lives he touched.
