
Janice Faye (Dean) Fuschak

Janice Faye Fuschak, of Olney, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 8, 2025, at the age of 85 after a brief illness.
Born on May 26, 1940, in Olney, Janice was the beloved daughter of George and Dorothy (Nicholas) Dean. She was united in marriage to Dan Fuschak on July 3, 1968, in Texas, and together they shared a loving partnership for over 57 years. Dan survives her.
Janice was a dedicated member of Mt. Gilead Church in Olney, where she found joy in her faith and her community. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and beloved friend to many. Janice had a deep love for her family, and her heart overflowed with pride for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also had a special place in her heart for her dog Watson, who brought her comfort and companionship.
Janice’s passions included gametime with grandkids, crossword puzzles, reading, supporting her local Lady Tiger basketball team, and cherishing monthly lunch dates with friends she had known since school days. Her warmth, generosity, and unwavering loyalty made her a beloved presence in the lives of those who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Dan Fuschak, who now lives in Columbia, TN; her children: David (Cindy) Pool of Marion, IL; Shari (Marco) deWeese of Olney, IL; George Scott Robinson of Nashville, TN; Shanna (Troy) Blackmon of Columbia, TN; Terry Fuschak of Texas; Tina Fuschak of Florida, and her siblings; Tim (Rhonda) Dean of AZ, Todd (Dallas) Dean of Olney, IL, and Sandy Dean of Olney, IL. Janice also leaves behind 23 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, George and Dorothy Dean; her sister, Barbara Myers; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Jonathon Pool, Gabriel deWeese, and Mabry deWeese.
A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Mt. Gilead Church in Olney, IL. A luncheon will follow the service so please respond with the names and number of people attending the lunch to: Shanna Blackmon - 615.509.3132
