Curtiss C. Bean, 64, of Bluford, died at 8:37 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana.

He was born on Feb. 26, 1957, in New Haven, to the late Chalen and Ruth (Clayton) Bean.

Mr. Bean is survived by his sisters, Beverly Sheley of Lawrenceville, and Norma Bean and fiancé, Mike Beliles of Indiana; brother, Darrell Bean and wife, Cheryl of Olney; nephew, Clayton Bean of Evansville, Indiana; and beloved dog, Curve.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his special friend, Arthur Voyles; and brother-in-law, Steven Sheley.

Mr. Bean was a member of the Sons of American Legion 141 in Mount Vernon.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Jan. 2, 2022, at Oakdale Cemetery in Bluford. Interment will follow.  Friends may call from 12 to 1 p.m. on Jan. 2 at the cemetery.
