
Marilyn R. Shryock, 21, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Shryock of Rt. 6, Olney passed away Sunday afternoon, May 16, 1971 in Chicago at the St. Lukes-Presbyterian Hospital.
She was injured in a highway accident several months ago.
Miss Shryock was born in Olney on February 18, 1950. She was graduated from East Richland High School in 1968 and recently transferred from Olney Central College to Eastern Illinis University with an Associate Degree in Science.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Fred (Shirley) Kuenstler of Rt. 4, Olney, Mrs. Henry (Beverly) Clow of Rt. 6, Olney, Mrs. Paul (Carole) Wirth of Olney and Mrs. Kevin (Barbara) Teeven of LaSalle, Ill.; a grandmother, Mrs. Bertha Hardig of Rt. 6, Olney; one niece and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by three grandparents.
Services held at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Vincent Hasselhorst, celebrant. Interment in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Olney.

Marilyn was a good friend. i was thinking about her and asked ai to age her senior picture. in 2025 she would have been 74. While we will never know how she would have aged, i believe this interpretation captures that twinkle in her eye. Gone too soon, but still alive.
