Diane Lynn Waddell of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away at her home on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. Diane was born February 17, 1959 in Joliet, Illinois. She was the daughter of Fred Waddell Jr. and Loretta Ellen (Grove) Waddell. Her family moved to Olney Illinois in 1973.

Diane held degrees in Accounting, Radiography, and was a Registered nurse. She was employed by Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney and Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana.

She enjoyed antique, crafting, gardening and visiting with her neighbors. In her younger years, she enjoyed camping, traveling and anything outdoors. In her later years, Diane’s greatest love was her grandchildren.

Diane attended Antioch Christian Church and was a member of the Walk to Emmaus Community.

Diane is survived by her daughters, Rachel (Josh) Peterson, Stephanie (Arne) Brown; grandchildren, Ellie and Allison Peterson, Jonathan and Lilly Seed, sister, Peggy (Bob) Campbell; brother, Dan (Robin) Mullin; sister-in-law, Pam Waddell. Diane loved her 17 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Waddell Jr and Loretta Waddell; sister, Ellen Ruth; brother, James Waddell; nephew, Jason Demaire.

Cremation Rites will be accorded, and a private family service will be held at a later date.
