Kimberly Ann Black, 60, of Noble, IL, formerly of Olney, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025 in Noble, IL. Kimberly was born February 7, 1965 in Olney, IL to mother, Janice Steber. She married Christopher Black, he survives.
Kim worked at RMH in the pharmacy and later went to work at Lawrence Correctional Center.
She enjoyed cooking and baking, especially Grandma Steber's recipes. You could often find her outside, planting flowers, or smoking on her front porch swing. She also enjoyed mowing the lawn. She was always up for a shopping trip. She spent hours rocking in her rocking chair and loved eating candy, which she had stashed everywhere. She was always singing and making up songs for every occasion. Her laugh was infectious, distinct, memorable, and loud enough to fill a room.
Her greatest joys in life were being a wife, a sister, a mom, and Mimi to Connor and Aiden. She loved being at home and having family over for any occasion. She brought joy and laughter wherever she went. Our world will sparkle less without her in it.
Kimberly is survived by her husband, Christopher Black of Noble; daughter, Brooke Bower of Olney; daughter, Brittany Rose and husband Matthew of Olney; grandchildren, Connor and Aiden Rose; siblings, Brian (Carrie) Ochs, Tracy (Marlon) Wheat, Brenda (Tony) Hemrich, Kevin (Becky) Ochs, and Ann (Mike) Dowty; father-and-mother-in-law Mike and Kathy Black; brother-in-law Tyler (Tiffany) Black; sister-in-law Justine Black and several nieces, nephews and much loved dog, Teddy.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Janice Steber; infant sister, Tammy Ochs and grandparents, Jim and Mary Steber.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home, Olney. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home, Olney.
