Douglas Lee Runyon, 58, of Olney, IL, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Douglas was born September 6, 1966 in St. Charles, IL to parents, Norman "Sonny" and Mary (Hubble) Runyon. He married Kari (Haney) Runyon on November 2, 1996 in Olney, IL., she survives.

Doug loved joking around and making people smile. He enjoyed anything mechanical, especially motorcycles and working on cars. Doug also took pleasure in outdoor activities like hunting and fishing.

Doug was a very social person and liked to be surrounded by family and friends. He did not know a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anybody. But more than anything else, he loved his family.

Doug is survived by his wife, Kari Runyon; Son, Wesley (Hannah) Runyon; Daughter, Krystal Haney; Son, Dalton (Julia Camarillo) Runyon; Son, Jacob (Kierstin Fulton) Runyon; grandchildren, Dillion (Ariana Smith) Haney, Karlee (Maikal Soto) Haney, Landon Runyon, Aria Lenear; great grandchildren, Navy Runyon, Luka, Xander, and Reyna Haney; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Norman “Sonny” and Mary Runyon and sister, Stephanie Jo Runyon.

Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney has been entrusted with arrangements.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home, Olney.  Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home, Olney.

Cremation rites will be accorded, and Interment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, Olney at a later date.
