David Keith Chance, 51, of Olney, Illinois, passed away Sunday April 19, 2026 at his home.

David was born December 19, 1974 in Olney, the son of David Chance and Ellen Sue (Waddell) Ruth.

David loved anything that had wheels: cars, trucks, and motorcycles. In his younger years, he was a great baseball player, and he enjoyed camping and fishing, and anything that included being outdoors. David’s greatest joy in life was his children.

David is survived by his children, Rebecca (Dallas) Martin of Olney and Jason Chance of Olney; sister, Jeniffer (Gary) Meese of Bloomington, IN; brother, Eddie DeMaire of FL; sister, Sally Chance of IL; stepdad, J.B. Ruth.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jason DeMaire.

Cremation Rites were accorded. Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney has been entrusted with arrangements.
