Raymond Earl Eichin - Class Of 1907

Word was received here last week of the death of Earl Eichin, 58 on April 4, 1947, which occurred at the family home in Springfield Gardens, Long Island New York last week. The deceased had been cashier of the bank there for a number of years.

Raymond “Earl” Eichin was born December 18, 1888 a son of William J. Eichin and Georgiana (Heltman) Eichin.

A native of Olney, Illinois, Mr. Eichin entered the employ of the First National Bank here shortly after his graduation from Olney High School, eventually becoming it's cashier shortly after the close of the war. From here he went on to similar positions in banks in Evansville, Butler, Penn. and Springfield Gardens, Long Island.

Surviving him are his wife, Grace (Sonner) Eichin; a son Earl Jr. and a daughter, Marjorie, all of the above named city; his mother, Mrs. W.J. Eichin of Chicago; one brother, Donald Verne Eichin of California and a sister, Mrs. E.C. Moore of Chicago.

Funeral services were conducted in Springfield Gardens with interment there in Old Springfield Cemetery, Springfield Gardens, Queens County, New York.
