I taught elementary school in Omaha and then Indianapolis for a number of years. I moved back to Omaha a few years ago. Right now I'm working as a part-time science teacher and as a curriculum consultant for an organization that creates and donates educational materials to schools in developing countries. The work is rewarding and time consuming; however, I still make time to write fiction, hang out with my family, and travel whenever I can.
