Game

I am so bummed because I can't make the game. That is the night of my 11 year wedding anniversary and I don't think my hubby wants to spend it at a highschool football game.

Remember all those games at Northwest? I have lots of fun memories of those games and many of those memories include Cari Baughman....ketchup on top of a french fry! Laughing

They are so lucky to get their own stadium! I hope lots of people go and have a great time!

How about meeting up at Tigers prior to the game if you want to grab a tiger burger before the game and we can head up there after tigers. I should be at Tigers by 6:00 ish.

Hi, I would like to attend the game. The bar you are talking about is it the old Tiger Toms? Is it located at the same place? I will be there around 6ish. I don't know if my husband will attend I might bring a Roncalli graduate from the "90" class.

Jerry and I plan on going. Our son Connor just started football this week at Roncalli playing for the Junior Pride Football Program for grades 3rd through 8th. When were up there we were talking to some people who were hoping they could get as many alumni as possible. They are thinking they will have a pretty good turn out for the game.Smile

Roncalli/Rummel and Jr Pride Supporter,

The number one question we are receiving: WHEN WILL THE BLEACHERS BE UP??

The answer is a bit more complicated. The Bleachers were to be delivered first week of August. They have had a tough time getting materials from their suppliers.

I just received word from CBS Constructors (www.cbsconstructors.com): Pending no more delays, they are expecting delivery by September 7th. There is a good chance we could receive the FRAME by September 5th . This would allow us to begin putting up the frame through-out the weekend. Following the frame installation, the aluminum seats, etc would be on site September 7th. They tell me they’re pretty confident with these dates.

Bad News: We’ll definitely miss our first Home game at Roncalli. GOOD NEWS, with enough help from volunteers we could have the place ready for the second home game on September 11.

As a clarification, the cost of the bleachers are $92,000. We’ve received a tremendous amount of support towards purchasing them, but we’re just a little short so any donations would really help…that includes the MEMORIAL BRICK PAVERS that you can engrave a personal name or message.

Drive by Roncalli tomorrow (Friday 8/14). Daedalus Construction should be done pouring the concrete pad that the bleachers will sit on. This will give you an idea as to the size they will be. Nearly 70 yards in length! It will seat over 1000 people.

Many thanks for all the support!

Dear Roncalli/Rummel, Jr Pride Supporter:

The consistent rain pattern has really caused us issues this year in building the stadium. We have had a few issues with funding, but by in large, we’ve been graced with much support from so many people.

We’ll be playing on site AT Roncalli this year beginning 9/18 against Ashland-Greenwood.

Here’s an update:

LIGHTS: Done!

FIELD: Resodded and ready to go!

CONCESSION / RESTROOM BUILDING: Foundation is in, floor is poured and the block work is close to being finished. Next step: setting trusses (help needed).

BLEACHER PAD: Underground drainage has been moved, elevation raised 3 feet and the concrete pad has been pours. Pad Size is nearly 70 yards long.

REDESIGN OF FIRELANE: Grading has started, drainage is in place. Next step: Pour concrete on Tuesday 9/1/01.

BLEACHERS: Design is done. Permit on file. A late delivery due to supplier issue with the manufacturer. Bleachers will be delivered on 9/8. Next Step: WE NEED ASSISTANCE PUTTING THESE UP especially on 9/8. I know it’s a Tuesday, but perhaps you want to take one extra day off from your day job and donate that time to your favorite High School.

We still have funding needs. No better way to do that than to buy a memorial brick! We’ve extended the date another week. Every bit of help will GIVE OUR KIDS THE HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE!

Thank You!
