Graduate of Ames High School, BA Grinnell College, MA Creighton University, Omaha, Neb.; Phi Beta Kappa from Grinnell College; teacher at South High School for 35 years; head of Social Studies Dept. at South High School; recipient of Alice Buffett Award for Teaching; active in League of Womens Voters, Westerners, Friends of the Library, Sisters in Crime, numerous Mystery Book Clubs, Mouth of the Platte, Trans Mississippi Exposition.

Preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Joseph and Marjorie Fellows; brother, Dr. Joe F. Fellows.

Survived by brother and sister-in-law, Ben and Peggy Fellows, of Forest Lake, Minn.; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Vaughn Welling, of Twin Lakes, Wisc.; nieces and nephews, J.D. (Amy) Fellows, Chris (Marta) Fellows, Lisa (Eric) Bartlett, Sean Fellows, Patti ( Mike) Lindberg, James Fellows, Jeffrey Welling, Lucas (Tiffany) Welling; numerous great nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Sally Fellows, of Des Moines.

Celebration of life reception 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at Caniglia’s Venice Inn, 6920 Pacific St., Omaha, Neb. Interment, Saturday, Sept. 8, Clark Cemetery, Luther, Iowa.
