Melissa passed away unexpected at home in Papillion, NE. She was born in Lincoln NE, grew up in Cozad NE, and later in El Paso, TX. She graduated from Coronado High School in El Paso in 1988. She attended the University of Texas-El Paso, and completed her BA in English, minoring in Psychology, at the University of Nebraska-Kearney. She began her teaching career in Humboldt NE, followed by teaching at Nathan Hale Middle School in Omaha, and was currently an English teacher at Bryan High School in Omaha. She was an avid reader, loved flowers, swimming, and her two cats.

Preceded in death by grandparents, Henry Mach, and Jack and Isabel Adams; and her Special Cat, Libby. Survived by her husband James Ediger; parents, John and Janet Adams; brother Robert J. (Lisa) Adams; maternal grandmother Melva Mach; mother-in-law Gleneice Ediger; sister-in-law, Lori (Mike) McMurray; uncles, Jim (Gay) Adams, and Robert Mach; and many in-laws and cousins.

MEMORIAL SERVICE will be Saturday, February 25, at 10am at Bethany Funeral Home Chapel. Memorials requested to the Nebraska Humane Society.
