Larson, Elizabeth A. was born in Burlington, IA to Stanley and Verna Nelson. Her parents and brother, Jerry preceded her in death.

Liz loved her hometown and especially her BHS class of 1956. She was honored to represent Burlington in the Miss Iowa contest in 1958. Liz attended Drake University and was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. Liz then moved to Omaha, NE where she was a secondary education teacher with Omaha Public Schools for 21 years. Moving to a second career, she sold residential real estate and then moved to the related field of title insurance marketing. In the1980's, she joined First National Bank of Omaha and ended her career as manager of the management trainee department working with a delightful group of trainees.

Elizabeth served as a Stephen Minister and leader for Countryside Community Church. She also took great pleasure in being a member of FL Chapter of PEO. Liz loved her SOCS sisters (Strong Ovarian Cancer Survivors) group very much.

She is survived by her loving soul mate of 40 years, Barry; 4 step children, Kirk (Adele), Jennifer (Victor Bochek), Mark (Sue Ellen), Tamara (Dennis Bergeron);.12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. Also surviving Elizabeth is sister-in-law, Delores Nelson; 2 nieces, Julia Nelson and Joy Isham. She was much loved by her husband, friends, family and all that she met. And, she loved everyone.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 5th from 5:30-7:30pm at West Center Chapel, 7805 W. Center Rd.

FUNERAL SERVICE Friday, October 6th at 11am at Countryside Community Church, 8787 Pacific Street.
