Jack L. Wiechmann

Wiechmann, Jack Lee died at age 88 at Hillcrest Millard Rehabilitation.

Born in Eldora, Iowa in 1930; adopted as an infant by Paul and Louise Euken Wiechmann. A 1948 graduate of Atlantic High School, he earned his B.S. degree from Northwest Missouri State College in 1955, and his Master of Arts degree from University of Northern Colorado in 1956.

He served in the U. S. Marine Corps during the Korean War, 1951 to 1953. An educator for 36 years, he retired from Omaha Central High School and Omaha Burke High School as a guidance counselor in 1993.

Jack married Jean (Jensen) in Red Oak, Iowa on August 11, 1956, and their many anniversaries were spent traveling throughout the world. He was preceded in death by his adoptive parents and his birth mother, Fern Watson (discovered in 2005). Survivors include his beloved wife, Jean, of Omaha; son Jeff of Stuart, Florida; son Jay of Galesburg, Illinois; four granddaughters: Kendra, Emily, Colleen, and Hannah; three great-grandchildren: Kaiden, Nykiah, and Brinley; three cousins; and many friends.

The Family will receive friends on Monday, June 10th from 4pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel, followed by FUNERAL SERVICE at 7pm with military rites by Ralston American Legion Post 373.

Memorials are suggested to Messiah Lutheran Church, or to the family.
