Kenneth H. Cooper
August 20, 1942, - March 18, 2020
Ken (Coop) was an English and History teacher plus Counsellor for 33 years in Omaha Public Schools at McMillan Junior High and Benson High School. He was also the Benson Boys Golf coach for many years and an avid golfer working at Benson, Fontenelle, and The Knolls golf courses. Fishing and spending time at the cabin on South Lake Lida in Minnesota were his most memorable times. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Cooper, and her husband, Mark Ziegenbein, as well as his ever faithful Dachshund, Hobbes. He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Sandra, and his daughter, Wendy.
A memorial service was held at Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church in Omaha for close family. For all of Ken's friends and family that were unable to attend the memorial service, please remember Ken on the first hole of your favorite golf course as you tee off. Memorials may be made to the Omaha Education Association for the Wendy Cooper Memorial Scholarship Fund.
