Sherry was a 20-plus year Teacher and Librarian at Gilder Elementary School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Elmer and Betty Jane Haffke and brother, Douglas Lee Haffke. Survived by her husband, Lloyd L. Fitch; daughters, Jenn (Scott) Clayton, Suzy LeDent (Kirk Lavengood), Katy (Joe) Cresto; grandchildren, Noah, Baylee and Brody Clayton, Jackson (Miranda Reising) and Emma LeDent; pets, Farley and Squeakers.

VISITATION will be held Sunday, February 14th, from 2-4pm, at the Pacific Street Chapel, 14151 Pacific Street. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be held Monday, February 15th, at 11am at the Pacific Street Chapel, 14151 Pacific Street. Memorials are suggested to the Omaha Public Library Foundation.
