
Obituary
Eddie (Ed) .L Williams was born January 21, 1947 andraised in Baton Rouge,
LA. He is the only child of Nancy King-Jarvis, Hudson Williams and stepfather
Benjamin Jarvis.
Ed attended Harding Elementary School, Scotlandville Junior and Senior High
Schools in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Ed attended Southern University in Baton
Rouge, LA. and graduated with a Bachelor Science Degree in Social Studies
and Math.
Ed's grandparents were co-founders of the Shady Grove Baptist Church where
he accepted Christ at an early age. While living in Baton Rouge, Eddie married
Marian Lewis. To this union was bor Eric D. Williams.
After relocating to Omaha, NE, Ed taught Mathematics with the Omaha Public
Schools. He met and married Regina .E Johnson. To this union was born
Edward D. Williams, Ericka D. Williams, and Reginald J. Williams.
Later hebecame the Vice Principal of Boys Town High School in Boys Town,
NE. After working at Boys Town for ten years, Ed worked as amanager at
OPPD, where he retired. After retiring, Ed worked with artistic youth as a Para-
Professional with the Omaha Public Schools.
Ed was a member of and/or involved in the Benedict Club, Omega Psi Phi
Fraternity, Inc., TOGETHER, and Project HOPE. He joined Salem Baptist
Church where he served as a Sunday School Teacher, Greeter,Money
Counter, Member of Men's Prayer Group, Men's Choir, Men's Ministry, and
Deacon Ministry.
EdWilliams was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Ericka Denise
Williams, sister Shirley Adams and cousin Calena Jones.
He leaves tocherish his memory Wife, Regina Williams; Sons, Eric Williams of
Tamarac, Florida, Edward Dwayne Williams, Reginald Jon Williams, and
Grandson Elijah Mekhi Williams- mother the late Ericka Denise Williams-
adopted by grandparents in 2012, all of Omaha, NE.
He also leaves to cherish his memory, Brother-in-law M. Michael Johnson,
Sister-in-law Rita Johnson and a host of King/Williams cousins, nieces, and
nephews.
