Pride of my life in Omaha-My beloved parents: my saintly mother Paulina, who welcomed all friends as if family,and suffered early death 1986;my father , Edward, Sr.,now 99.4 yrs of age! (I count age by gestational dates, as God creates each of us fully alive and human at the moment of conception-which renders my father now 100+ yrs!);my dedicated siblings: Teresa,Leann,Carol, Mary Kay(who were all educated at Marian) and Edward, Jr.(who carried out a stellar career at Roncalli,Class of '81, and,after a stint as Geologist and Geographer,has for 3 decades worked in Christian ministry);and all of you who have been consistently and sacrificially kind despite my many shortcomings, including several lifelong friends, one of whom ,in 2007, paid me the most lasting and kind of favors when he complimented me to my daughter upon meeting her! (And one lifelong friend who sacrificed in '14 to help in financial crisis

Sorry to conclude with a regret, but I want to publicly declare my sorrow at my failure to rekindle and in some ways reconcile my friendship with Paul Goodrich before his untimely death almost 15 yrs ago; this would include apology for self-righteous rejection of criticism and in particular allowing what I may have percieved as difficult aspects of the friendship to weigh upon me and, for example, fail to include him as a member of my first wedding in 1976. May I thank the other grad who gently informed me of Paul's death, particularly as I immediately felt greater loss for having not known of his illness and hence not being able to offer whatever level of support of which I might have been capable during his ordeal.
