Debby Hynard (Needham)
Hi to everyone. I just wanted to share a story about Georgie Fallon. The old bowling alley in Sylvan Beach was sold and turned into a deli. The back part of the store was tunrned into vendor booths for people to sell things. My husband and I like places like that and would meander around there every month or so. We saw 2 really nice wing chairs and bought them. My husband was going out of town for a week or so and we did not have our van with us at the time of purchase. The guy at the desk stated that most venders usually had items to restock their areas quickly and could not hold sold items. He did call this vendor who stated that she could deliver the chairs in a few days, as we lived in the village.
That Sunday I returned to meet the vendor and give directions to my house. Oh my gosh!! It was Georgiana Fallon! I was so excited. I helped her put the chairs into her van and she followed me to my house. She told me that she had taken an upolstrery class about 25 years ago and had been doing it ever since. Once we go to my house and had unloaded the chairs we had a nice, enjoyable visit.
I will always remember that day and the nice visit with an old classmate.
