1969-who were you listening to Posted Monday, July 6, 2009 03:35 PM Maybe our memories are failing a bit or maybe we're a little ashamed of our taste at the time-but way back in 1969--what ten groups/artists were you listening to the most?
For me Beatles, Stones, Steppenwolf, Cream, Donovan, Jefferson Airplane, The Doors, Buffalo Springfield, Bob Dylan and sad to say The Bee Gees--I also had a couple of albums I liked by more obscure groups, The Fugs and Soft Machine. By the fall of 69 I was turning more to folk and listening to a lot of Joan Baez, Judy Collins, Leonard Cohen, and Joni Mitchell |

RE: 1969-who were you listening to Posted Wednesday, July 8, 2009 01:40 AM Good choices; I'll add 10 more to the list. Sly & the Family Stone, Hendrix, Spencer Davis Group, MC5, The Rascals, Chambers Brothers, Simon & Garfunkle, Beach Boys, Canned Heat & Joe Cocker. (not sure if these were all from 69, but they have to be pretty close) |
