I struggled with John's illness and passing. I drove by his house many a day - I did not stop in to see him. This will sound dumb, but somehow I thought if I didn't see him, his illness would not be real.
John and I were very close in grade school. In HS we had other interests and were not as close. When I think of John, I am very happy he was a part of my life and sad that he is gone.
