Wendy J. Moore, an active member of Elton Baptist Church, died unexpectedly Monday in her home. She was 45.

Born Wendy J. Slotman in Lackawanna, she grew up in Orchard Park and graduated from Frontier Central High School in 1978.

A homemaker, Mrs. Moore home-schooled her three children. She was considered artistic and enjoyed crafts and the outdoors.

At Elton Baptist, Mrs. Moore was a youth group leader and Sunday school teacher.

Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Mark A. of Machias; a son, Kevin J., and two daughters, Rebekah J. and Stacy M., all of Machias; her mother and stepfather, Doris M. and Daniel J. Pelsey of Orchard Park; four sisters, Lynn S. Krone of Silver Creek, Janet L. Seeley of Farnham and Kim M. Eldridge and Amy L. Eldridge, both of Blasdell; a brother, Daniel W. Slotman of Angola; and two granddaughters.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Elton Baptist Church, 10327 Marble Springs Road, Delevan. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Machias.
