In the fall of 1993, I was filling out paperwork on the first day of US Army Paratrooper School at Fort Benning, Georgia, when I looked up and saw a face I recognized (Joe) sitting on the other side of the aisle filling out paperwork as well. I had no idea that Joe was in the military, so I was blown away by the coincidence of being in the same class at Airborne School.

We got to hang out a couple of times that week and even got to jump out of the same plane! In memory, I was able to put a pair of Airborne Wings on his grave after I came back from Germany.

Joe was a good man who never harmed anyone in his life and I'm sorry he's gone.

Joe was one of my best friends, from the first day of elementary school, to graduation day. I loved his energy, smile and how he could always make me laugh. Joe was always my partner for all the infamous science fair competitions. And yes, we actually won a time or two!! I also was ALWAYS excited about accompanying him for his saxophone solos, at district and state! He always got a I!! I can't believe we won't be seeing him at our 20 year. I guess I thought we were all invincible. I miss Joe and I am sad that he never got to marry and have children. I know he would have been the most excellent father and husband. He was a loyal, wonderful friend and just an all around great guy. I know Joe is loved and still is truly missed, by us all.

I definantly miss Joe there is not a day that goes by that I don't think of him. He is greatly missed by me. We had been classmates since headstart clear through high school. He always treated everyone with respect. He to me was one of the most wonderful people in our class, and in life. I was a close friend of his and seen him often when he would come home. I miss dancing with him and spending time with him. He always made me laugh. If everyone was like Joe I think it would be the perfect world to be in. Joe was bigger than life itself! I hate it that he won't be at the reunion with that terrific smile and attitude. Love Stacie
