I knew Shad since Elementary school at Scera Park. One regret I have regarding Shad: I never gave him the friendship he gave me. We saw each other intermittently throughout our schooling, but because of my immaturity, and socially-juvenile ways, I . . . hmmm, how do I say this . . . ignored him? Found excuses to talk to others? Ugh. Regrets.

Last time I saw Shad was 1992 at Los Hermanos in Provo. My fiance was working there, and Shad was there with his. Our discussion was smiley and cordial and fun and mature.

I learned of Shad's death when I planned for the 5 year reunion. I cried a bit. His mother told me on the phone that Shad always considered me a good friend. Shad was a good boy. A good person. A good son. A better friend than I was. God bless Shad Liddiard.
