Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Connie Rae (Clayburn) Blaylock passed away on July 9, 2024, at her home in Pleasant Grove, Utah, surrounded by her family. She was 79 years old.
Connie was born on December 18, 1944, in Heber City, Utah to John T (Tom) and Norine Clayburn. She married David Blaylock on November 8, 1963, in Orem, Utah, and later divorced. They had three beautiful boys: Jeff, Derek, and Damon. Connie was the most devoted mother and was deemed the 'fun mom' of the neighborhood. She continued this devotion with her grandchildren. She volunteered in each of their classrooms once a week throughout elementary school. She would have continued to volunteer in junior high and high school if they had let her. There wasn't a game, concert, program, or dance performance that Connie missed. She supported her entire family in every activity they were involved with up to the end.
Connie's love of children showed in her choice of employment. She once worked with special needs kids at a preschool and was a crossing guard for the elementary school near her home until she passed. All the kids loved her and knew her by name.
Connie had an unwavering faith in the gospel, Jesus Christ, and our Heavenly Father. She was an inspiration to us all.
Connie is survived by her three children, Jeff (Shauna) Blaylock, Derek (Stephanie) Blaylock, and Damon (Kristy) Blaylock; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Robert, Thomas, and Lynn Clayburn; and granddaughter Havalee Blaylock.
