Linda Lou Johnson, age 68, died peacefully of leukemia in her Pleasant Grove home on Friday, January 24, 2014. Linda was born in Heber City, Utah on June 26, 1945 to Wallace and Mildred Johnson. She grew up in Orem and attended Orem High School. She served a mission for the LDS Church in the Washington DC area. She received a Bachelors degree from Brigham Young University and a Masters degree in social work from Grambling State University in Louisiana. She worked for the school district in Idaho Falls and as a family and marriage counselor for the military in Alaska, New York, Germany and Texas. Linda had a passion for counseling and was dedicated to helpiing others with her knowledge. She also worked as a missionary with her mother in the LDS  Church genealogy name extraction program. She was a great example of thrift and provident living. When diagnosed with leukemia, she dedicated herself to completing her written personal history. She has inspired many who knew her to write their own histories. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mary Lou Johnson. She is survived by her brother, Kenny (Bonnie) Johnson of St. George and her sister, JoAnn Alexander of Charlestown, West Virginia. The family wishes to thank Lesli Francis (niece) and the Grove Creek Sixth Ward for the kind and loving care they have given to Linda.
