Nelma Jean Kissel Burns passed away very peacefully at her home in Roy, Utah on February 9, 2014. Nelma was born on September 12, 1944, in Provo, Utah to Mirl T. Kissel and Lydia Martin Kissel. She was raised in Orem, Utah. Graduating from Orem High School in 1963. She met and married Leonard W. Burns, on June 6, 1963 in Provo, Utah. They made their first home in Lincoln, Nebraska, where they were stationed in the U. S. Air Force. Together for over 50 years, she enjoyed making quilts, gardening, embroidery, and raising her Boston Terriers. Nelma was preceded in death by her parents, and her three sons. Gordon Duane Burns, Larry Bret Burns and Gary Len Burns. She is survived by her husband, two sisters, Cora Jane (Mick) Willingham, of Orem, Utah, Jerri Ann Kissel of Heber City, Utah, one daughter, Debbi Ann (Seth) Jaynes of Clearfield, Utah.
