Diann Rowley (Hegstead)

Diann Rowley Hegsted, age 51, passed away September 18, 1996, in Dillon, Montana, after a battle with cancer. She was born to J Reed and Leah H Rowley on May 14, 1945 in Provo, Utah. She attended grade school and junior high in Orem. In high school, Diann was involved in drill team and was head varsity cheerleader. She graduated from Orem High School in 1963, where she had been voted the Most Friendly Student and Homecoming Queen in a school of 2000 students. She attended the college of Eastern Utah for one year and then on September 24, 1964, married her high school sweetheart, Glenn J Hegsted in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They lived in Manitou Springs, Colorado after Glenn was drafted in the Army, and then in Boulder, Utah after he was released. In 1971, they purchased a lumber mill in Dillon, Montana, and moved there with their two daughters, Wyndy and Dezerene. Her son, David, was born in Sheridan, Montana fave years later. Diann operated Diann's Dance Studio in Dillon for 24 years. She loved children and was a proud grandmother of four. She dedicated all her time to either her family or her second family, which were her dance students. She taught thousands of children and would follow and support them even after they stopped dancing. She was very involved in her church and taught the youth in Sunday School for numerous years. She loved cooking for her family, hunting for arrowheads, working in her yard and crocheting. She is survived by her husband, Glenn J Hegsted of Dillon, Montana; daughters; Wyndy McGinley of Kansas City, Kansas and Dezerene Haderlie of Dillon, Montana; son, David Glenn Hegsted of Dillon, Montana; parents, Reed and Leah Rowley of Payson, Utah; brothers, Jerry Rowley of Salt Lake City, Utah, Rick Rowley of Payson, Utah, sisters; Betty Page of  Salt Lake City, Utah and Delone Peterson of Orem Utah. She was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald K Rowley and her grandson, Garick McGinley.
