Terry Wayne Kallas
1952 – 2015
Terry Wayne Kallas of Orem, Utah passed away Sunday, January 11, 2014 at his home. He was born April 1, 1952 in Provo, Utah to Clyde and Shirley Mae Johnson Kallas. He grew up in Orem with his brothers and sister, attending school at Lincoln Jr. High, where he was the student body president and graduating from Orem High in 1970. Following high school, Terry served a mission in Venezuela. After returning home, he enrolled at Brigham Young University and graduated from there in 1977.
Terry married Anne Taylor, February 21, 1975, in the Provo Temple. Terry and Anne raised their family in Orem. He worked as a property manager in Provo for 35 years, retiring in 2012. Terry enjoyed taking his family camping and hunting, especially to his "tall mountain" in Fairview Canyon. We also enjoyed many great vacations together at Lake Powell and Disneyland.
Terry was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings, but particularly enjoyed the time he spent serving the Young Adults of the Church.
