James Edward Peterson has valiantly lost his battle to cancer on August 6, 2011. Jim was born March 3, 1952 in Cincinnati, OH to Kent and Gerry Peterson. He married to his high school sweetheart, Delone Rowley, on October 16, 1971.
Jim was a very kind hearted man that always took care of other people before he took care of himself. He dedicated himself to the improvement of young people by donating countless hours as a baseball and football coach and 26 years as a football official. During this time Jim served in many different leadership positions to help better the associations he worked in and the people around him. Jim was always looked up to and many valued the teaching and helping that he did.
Jim is survived by: wife Delone Rowley Peterson, son Jess (Allison Travis) Peterson, granddaughter Shaelee Peterson, sister Suzie (Neil) Vance, brother Kent (Vera Batley) Peterson, sister Debbie Peterson, brother Mike Peterson, several nieces and nephews and dogs Brewzer and Roxy. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Gerry and Kent Peterson.
The Peterson Family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, aides, family, friends and neighbors for all the support to help make Jim as comfortable as possible in his last days.
He will be greatly missed by all and he would want us all to "Pay it Forward". We will miss you sweetheart, dad, grandpa, uncle and friend!
