Bret passed away from complications related to a rare medical condition that affected his heart.

He is survived by his wife Natalie and his four children: Nicole, Brittany, Kenneth, and Katherine Gneiting; his parents, Lanny and Marilyn Gneiting and his siblings, David, Robert, and Matthew Gneiting, and Rebecca Gneiting Skinner.
