Shauna Rieske

Shauna Rieske, 45, of Springville, Utah passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2011, after losing her courageous battle with cancer. 

She was born September 23, 1965 to Ronald G. Rieske and Alice Ann M. Rieske, in Provo, Utah. 

Shauna was a dedicated registered nurse at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center for 25 years. 

She loved reading, spending time in her yard amongst her flowers, and enjoying time with family and friends. Shauna recently obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing, a feat she was very proud of. 

She was preceded in death by both sets of her grandparents, Walter A. and Alice M Muhlestein, and Daniel and Della B. Rieske. 

She is survived by her parents, Ronald G. Rieske and Alice Ann M. Rieske; her brother, Gary Rieske; her sister, Suzanne Rieske; and aunts, Joan Muhlestein and Kathryn Newmeyer.

The family would like to thank all of the caring staff at UVRMC, especially her family on the 6th floor, who took such excellent care of her. You made her last days as comfortable as possible. We would also like to thank Karen Cox for her dedication, devoted service, and the friendship she showed to Shauna throughout her battle with cancer. We also express our gratitude to the Huntsman Cancer Center, Dr. Teresa L. Werner and her staff, for their efforts on Shauna’s behalf. 

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday June 21, 2011 at the Provo City Cemetery, 610 South State Street. 

Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo from 9:00-10:45 a.m. prior to services. 

Interment, Provo City Cemetery.
